About Megan:

Megan discovered yoga while she was studying at Arizona State University in 2004. She became a member of the yoga club on campus when she found they offered free weekly classes. The Kundalini based practice showed her how to manage the stress of her studies by connecting with breath and meditation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a Minor in Business. Her career took her to San Francisco for work at an integrated marketing agency where she came across a new brand called lululemon athletica.

She made her way back home to the South Bay area of Los Angeles and joined the lululemon athletica team as an educator at the El Segundo store. There she met ambassadors Julie Rader and Mary Strong. The first yoga class that she took with Julie had a profound impact on her and she fell in love with the yoga practice. As her involvement with yoga increased, she became the Director of The Green Yogi, a power yoga studio in Manhattan Beach and home to Mukti Yoga School. She trained in Chakra Vinyasa with Julie Rader in Belize, which led her to earning her 200-RYT Teacher Certification through the Mukti Yoga School under Wendy Garafalo and Linda Baffa. She has continued to train in therapeutic yoga as well as advanced asana. She currently works and teaches for Manduka, the yoga company that created the legendary Black Mat PRO. She aims to make Vinyasa yoga accessible to everyone. In her free time you may see her at the beach rolling in the sand, outside playing with children or shopping at Trader Joes.
