Andre_LotusThis workshop offers a balance of theory and practice, specially designed to provide a new understanding of cancer from a Yoga Therapy perspective. We will explore practical tools that can be applied in your daily life. Based on hundreds of clinical consultations and recent scientific research, Andre Haralyi presents different ways in which Yoga therapy can help to restore the natural homeostatic state of the body-mind, enhance quality of life, promote balance, increase body and mind efficiency, as well as mental and physical endurance of those suffering from cancer.

A must for anyone facing the challenges of thriving with cancer or caring for loved one’s who may be afflicted. The links between mindfulness practices contribute directly to improved quality of life thru non pharmaceutical pain and fatigue management. Benefits will also include methods of bringing harmony not only to a stressed out body and mind of the patient, but the address the stresses experienced by caregivers as well.

Andre Haralyi began practicing Yoga after a serious accident in 2000 when he discover in Yoga more than simple techniques to improve general health, but a new way of approaching life, which played a key role in his recovery. His passion for Yoga, led him across the globe to complete his teacher training with Professor Marcos Rojo Ph.D, following the lineage of Kaivalyadhama Institute (India), to be certified in Thai Massage at the International Training Massage School (ITM) in Thailand, in Yoga Therapy RX level 4 at Loyola Marymount University and also obtained a Master degree in Yoga studies at the same university in US. He worked as a staff member of Integrative Medicine at Albert Einstein Hospital in Brazil, where he taught yoga and meditation to cancer patients and is currently using traditional Yoga techniques to help people prevent lifestyle diseases through an especial program focusing on lifestyle management, longevity and wellbeing.
